Some homes are built with more than lumber and nails — they’re built with intention, with care, with heart. The Mitchell House was one of them.

Constructed in 1921 in Lexington, South Carolina, the home was designed in the spirit of the era: gracious proportions, handcrafted details, and a timeless Southern charm that turned every room into a gathering space. Over the decades, families lived, laughed, celebrated, and created their stories within these walls.

A century later, the house stood ready for a new purpose. What it needed was stewardship — someone who would not just restore the building, but revive its soul.

In 2021, The Mitchell House was purchased with a shared vision: to lovingly restore this historic home to its original Southern elegance while thoughtfully reimagining it for modern celebrations.

Every detail of the restoration was approached with intention—preserving the home’s architectural character, craftsmanship, and charm, while introducing modern comforts that allow events to unfold seamlessly. The result is a space that feels both timeless and effortless, where history and hospitality exist in perfect balance.
